Abstract

IBARRA, Guillermo Alejandro Raffo  and  VICENTE, Judith Soledad Yangali. Gamification as a strategy for strengthening competencies in postgraduate students. RISTI [online]. 2021, n.44, pp.21-37.  Epub Dec 31, 2021. ISSN 1646-9895.  https://doi.org/10.17013/risti.44.21-37.

The objective was to determine the extent to which gamification favours the achievement of professional competencies in strategic planning in postgraduate students, under the b-learning modality. It was a quantitative study, experimental design, explanatory level, the sample was 100 students from master's programmes at a private university in Lima, Peru. An intervention programme with an experimental group and a control group was used to collect data using the Fisher, King and Tague scale, adapted to Spanish by Fasce et al. (2011); the results indicated that the observed significance value (sig) p= ,001 is lower in the post-test. It is concluded that the use of gamification contributes to the strengthening of competences in higher education at postgraduate level, through the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), by means of gamification.
