ALVES, Paulo Bruno    OLIVEIRA, Lídia. Media and digital literacy and civic participation as technologies to boost the Portugal interior territories. []. , 52, pp.113-125.   31--2023. ISSN 1646-9895.  https://doi.org/10.17013/risti.52.113-125.

Promotion actions in Portugal interior territories - in terms of media and digital literacy and the civic participation of their inhabitants - are opportunities to capture different capabilities and boost these territories, making them desirable, in terms of attracting investment, technological structures, tourism and even new residents. These driving elements constitute - or should constitute - motivational sources for citizens, in order to develop and expand their sense of belonging to the territories and to their appreciation. The objective of this text is to present two dynamics (media and digital literacy and civic participation), within the interpretative framework of interior territories. They are set against the backdrop of 21 Intermunicipal Communities, with many low-density municipalities and parishes. These are important tools, which can act as input from the citizens themselves, so that they are more technologically capable to aim for better conditions for themselves and these territories.
