In the present study, a descriptive analysis of the scientific production in virtual education and university academic performance was conducted. The methodology employed is bibliometrics, utilizing eight indicators to elucidate the object of study. The results indicate an exponential growth in articles, with leading co-authorship and production from Spain, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. The institutions with the highest production are in the United States, Spain, and Saudi Arabia, and the most relevant authors include Aggarwal Rajesh, Abdel Wahab Hussein M, and Al Abdulmonem Waleed. The topics of greatest interest are linked to learning, motivation, student satisfaction, academic performance, and university.
