Considering the evidence on patients with schizophrenia who have children, and the experience gathered by the research held on schizophrenia in the family and its impact on children and spouses, from the present study emerges a set of results enhancers of useful information for mental health nurses, regarding diagnosis, interventions and outcomes criteria, contributing to a more effective approach to the family process focusing on the patient with schizophrenia.
