CONTEXT: The work in Mental Health if establishes from an inclusive action, a more unabridged care model, with a view to the promotion, protection and rehabilitation of individuals in psycho suffering. OBJECTIVE: Reflect about the process of work in the infant juvenile Center of Psychosocial Attention. METHODOLOGY: This is an article of reflection. RESULTS: The attention to Mental Health in Brazil, over the years, comes changing itself, being substituted by communitarians services, intuiting transform the assistance, aiming the insertion of subjects in psycho suffering in family and in territory. Infant juvenile Center of Psychosocial Attention is service of daily attention which composes the attention network, focuses to children and adolescents. To comprehend the work in mental health is consider the individual in psycho suffering as an active and participant subject. The process of work in Mental Health requires more than answer to demand and manage administrative issues, but care integrally, to plan actions, to create and recreate new ways of care and commitment with this care. CONCLUSION: The work in Infant Juvenile Center of Psychosocial Attention configures itself as a huge challenge to the consolidation of attention in Mental Health, therefore, is necessary establishes partnerships with other services and support in public politics.
