Resumen

SILVA, Sara Franco da et al. REDUCING INEQUALITIES IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE UN 2030 AGENDA. SOCIOLOGIA ON LINE [online]. 2022, n.29, pp.54-89.  Epub 19-Dic-2022. ISSN 1647-3337.  https://doi.org/10.30553/sociologiaonline.2022.29.3.

Social inequalities take a central place in scientific, political, and international discussions about human development. In September 2015, the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in which the subject of inequality is a cross-cutting concern. Focusing on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 (Target 10.2), this study seeks to understand to what extent the European Social Survey (2016) represents an adequate solution for the analysis of social inequalities within the framework of sustainable development. Given the urgency of defining a robust system of indicators that allows the monitoring of progress of countries in achieving the SDGs, we propose to operationalise a set of indicators which will allow us to understand how different levels of social, economic, and political inclusion are influenced by social inequalities in different European countries, going beyond the indicators already proposed the UN and Eurostat.

Palabras clave : social inequalities; inclusion; Sustainable Development Goals; multidimensional analysis..
