Among the artists travels in Enlightened Europe, the artistic journey of the Portuguese painter Francisco Vieira Portuense (1765-1805), is analyzed, focusing in two of the painter's travel journals belonging to the years 1789-1793 (journal MNAA's inventory nr. 821) and 1796-1787 (journal MNAA's inventory nr. 817), which ones are representative of his European route.
