Abstract

SILVA, Cláudia Maria França da. Rubber, transparency and weight in the real space: towards a new way of inhabiting Lúcia Fonseca's drawings. Estúdio [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.5, pp.148-154. ISSN 1647-6158.

Text about Lucia Fonseca drawings, Brazilian artist. Black vulcanized rubbers establish effective dialogue with real space. My text explores sculptural potency of her drawings with this material. I also bring them near Richard Serra and Robert Morris experiments with flexible materials. These experiments reveal their concerns with tectonism of matter (Serra) and multiplicity of formal situations (Morris).

Keywords : weight; presentness; contemporary drawing.
