This paper will discuss the work of Spanish painter Simeon Saiz Ruiz. Starting from images broadcast by the mass media, the artist produced paintings, drawings and prints. Our attention will fall only on some of these paintings. The work of Spanish artist will serve as a pretext to talk about the relevance of history painting today.
