Abstract

HERZOG, Vivian. Daily Gestures and acumulation at home: relations between the artist’s book and the everyday domestic context. Estúdio [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.6, pp.109-114. ISSN 1647-6158.

Parting from the concept of the artist’s book as a form which has been introduced into the field of art, this paper analyses two artworks by artist Alice Monsell emphasizing the qualities of objects that can be manipulated, touched and used to gather together everyday experiences of life. Such characteristics are discussed in relation to the choice, format and presentation of the book-object.

Keywords : leftovers; acumulation; everyday; book-object.
