Abstract

SILVINA VALESINI, María. Juan Carlos Romero and the 'situational print'.: A look into the origins of the installation in Argentina. Estúdio [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.7, pp.64-69. ISSN 1647-6158.

Within the framework of the research project entitled "The Representation of the Unspeakable in Latinamerican Popular Art", that ponders on artistic productions originated in the Southern Cone under dictatorial goverments, this piece of work will deal with the work of the Argentine artist Juan Carlos Romero in which the questioning of traditional techniques of engraving and the expository devices generated enable early associations with the practice of the installation.

Keywords : experimental printmaking; expository device; installation; spectator; political poetry.
