The artwork On Translation: The Bookstore (2001) of Antoni Muntadas consists in a group of photographies taken in big commercial bookshops of New York and London. These photographies call our attention to the generic signals, his nomenclatures, that use to identify the diverse sections of the bookshop. They make the general cartography organising the categories and standardised the contents.
