This article examines the photographic work of the Catalan artist Esteve Subirah (1975) concentrating on his landscape studies. Based on his artistic proposals, it reflects on the use he makes of these images and the limits of this representation as a tool for objective knowledge. These concepts are studied by contextualising them within their historical framework.
