Abstract

AMADO, Guy. Journey Into the Landscape or The Loneliness of the Long-distance Runner. Estúdio [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.8, pp.282-288. ISSN 1647-6158.

This paper is focused on the artistic project BSR - Body, Space, Route by the brazilian sculptor Túlio Pinto. The proposition consisted basically on the artist dislocating himself by running through Brazilian Northeastern region - in a 400-km-long ride. By doing so, a huge "cartographical-scale drawing" were generated, apart of the radical experience of immersion into landscape. The movie The loneliness of the long-distance-runner is also cited as a strong reference for this article.

Keywords : art and landscape; art limits; artistic practices; expanded performance.
