Abstract

For Clifford Geertz, the concept of culture is semiotic in its essence. This article aims to reveal the ethnographic semiotic look, immersed in the Indigenous culture, by the artist and designer Sergio Macedo in his book: "Indigenous people in Comics books." It is not just a sequence of visual narratives, but mostly of a manifesto that gives voice to indigenous through artistic language of comics books.
