"Urban Virgin" is a photographic project that involved colonial religious paintings of the Cusco School, half of the seventeenth century, symbol of the power of the colonizer, and the re - poses with new signs that refer directly to the descendants of the former victims. Objective of this research was to analyze the cultural syncretism as a source for the construction of this project of Ana de Orbegoso, Peruvian visual artist.
