This paper discusses two key aspects from the work of painter Paco Pomet: pictorial fact and the "restoration" of the gaze. Figuration emerges as an intermediary between pure pictorial substance applied and viewer's contemplation. Critique, irony and wit culminate a creating process of a dream world where reality defines the narrative possibilities of pictorial practice.
