Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Ronaldo Alexandre de. The Dialogic and Transformative Sense of Mônica Nador's Work. Estúdio [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.9, pp.170-178. ISSN 1647-6158.

The aim of this article is to present a reflection on some aspects of the visual production of Brazilian artist Mônica Nador. Based on the concept of Connective Aesthetics (Suzi Gablik, 2005), and of Dialogicity (Paulo Freire, 1987), this article intertwines the ideas of these authors with the process of creation of Nador, in which the artist abandons traditional and individual modes of art creation and invests in the collective processes of creation with the other. In this way, Nador reinvents herself and establishes a social connection in which the other assumes a central role concerning the practice of art.

Keywords : Connective Aesthetics; Dialogicity; Contemporary Art.
