The purpose of this paper is to present in brief notes a reading of a portion of José Silveira D'Ávila's work, emphasizing his classical formation, his erudition and presence of Catholic religiosity giving life to fantasy worlds, populated by saints and demons, images of heaven and hell, as tangible realities that affect the daily lives of each one.
