Abstract

This article presents the work of Rosana Paulino (São Paulo, 1967) that , with the use of threads of her own autobiographical memories and heritage brings up the discussion of symbolic identity , the stigma of black women and subjection of the body , marking a slot in the hegemonic historiography and giving rise to the question of gender and race in art today.
