Abstract

CUNHA, Eduardo Vieira da. Ruby and the self-presentation: staging questions about identification and identity in codify images. Estúdio [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.13, pp.184-192. ISSN 1647-6158.

This article analyses a movie by Luciano Sherer, "Ruby", about the artist's stereotype. There is a construction of a "persona" through the production of documents of fictional memories. But all the script has a critical effect when Sherer uses the identity of a young artist facing different roles: the tragic that seeks the recuperation of a loss, or looks for the invisible and deals with the shadow and the negative. The objective is the creation of a super fiction, where the stereotype is used to reach the identification of the artist on his own as a character.

Keywords : Identity; identification; shadow; superfiction.
