Abstract

Art establishes a link between mind and matter, with an emerging emancipation escaping from convention. But the art emancipation includes its denial by requiring a dependency, hidden in technology. The support, before being touched, is already filled with intention, its utility. It matters, in the contexts discussed in the "Estúdio" issue 14, to identify the different artistic proposals and their identities. We propose a route of connections between people, cultures, past and present, art: an intermittent link with objects, materials, which sometimes become festive, sometimes encrypted, media to a deeper connection that underlies in the human condition.
