Abstract

SERRANO LEON, David. The bordering area in the painting of Rubén Guerrero. Estúdio [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.17, pp.127-135. ISSN 1647-6158.

Rubén Guerrero's (Utrera, 1976) pictorial work offers a constant review of the essential fundamentals of the painting, paying special attention to the process, the practice of the painting as motive of reflection. It poses adispute between two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality, figuration and abstraction, denial of the background and the figure, and reality and fiction. Traditionally, conflicting dualities that dialogue and support themselves create a new conceptual space: the bordering area.

Keywords : Painting; geometry; space; perception; composition.
