Abstract

SERRANO LEON, David. The human-animal condition in the work of Idaira del Castillo. Estúdio [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.19, pp.28-39. ISSN 1647-6158.

Idaira del Castillo's work (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1985) feeds on events that happen in everyday life, whether near or far, and invented stories that objectify through different sources such as Internet, readings, memories or personal relationships. She also obtains absurd scenes where people and wild animals peacefully coexist creating a parallelism between the animal and the human condition.

Keywords : Painting; figuration; color; deformation; tissues.
