Abstract

PADILLA MACHO, Òscar. Quim Cantalozella's Banal Objects: An Allegorical Archaeology of the Involuntary Memory. Estúdio [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.21, pp.149-156. ISSN 1647-6158.

This article explores the relations that emerge from the works presented by Quim Cantalozella (Girona, 1972) at Objectes banals (Casade la Paraula, Girona), one ofhis latest exhibitions, consisting of a pictorial proposal that, broadly speaking, deals with the latent symbology of things and objects, and their forgotten burden. Thisarticle seeks to relate what Cantalozella proposes in the exhibition with the concepts ofaura and involuntary memory considered by Walter Benjamin, and later recovered by Georges Didi-Huberman.

Keywords : Memory; symbology; objects; representation; painting.
