This text is about Nino Cais photographs (São Paulo-BR, 1969), in which he photographs himself covered with everyday household objects, hiding the face. These self-portraits are analyzed based on the concept of (de)facializations: action of to defacialize and re-facialize the images, based on Deleuze & Guatarri (2012). From the attempt to defacialize the self-portrait, Cais achieve other senses in his work, through a union of disparate components, that restless our eyes.
