Abstract

The article analyzes the art work of the Brazilian artist Elaine Tedesco in the exhibition "Ninhos e o Arquivo Agora". The artist designs and reframe 1980s photographic negatives of her archives, in the exhibition space. The Nest is used as a shelter metaphor in the exhibition, and the resigned images are of children photographed in scenes of play or child labor. It is concluded that the artist, by its process of creation, makes these images powerful, strong and socially critical.
