Abstract

LOUREIRO, Domingos  and  TORRES, Sofia. From the strange to the transcendental in Fernando Maselli's work. Estúdio [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.26, pp.152-161. ISSN 1647-6158.

The article presents how the Stranger is a formal resource used by the artist Fernando Maselli (Buenos Aires, 1978) to construct a course for an interpretation in the universe of the Transcendental. It focuses on two series 'Inquiries about the Sublime' (2015) and 'Anunciación' (2014-15) and intends to highlight how the manipulation of naturalistic images, inducing through the idea of strange, spatial and temporal indefinition, provides an allusion to the transcendental, especially the Sublime.

Keywords : stranger; transcendental; lanscape; Sublime.
