Abstract

GORDEEFF, Eliane Muniz. The Love in "Pixilated" Pieces by Alice Guimarães & Mónica Santos. Estúdio [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.26, pp.162-170. ISSN 1647-6158.

The article reflects on the pixilation in the loving relationship representation, observing the animated shorts, Amélia & Duarte (2015) and Between Shadows (2018), of the Portuguese, Alice Guimarães and Monica Santos. The analysis is mainly based on the "liquid love" concept by Bauman, but also based on the body by Pavis, on the photographic image by Barthes and Bazin, as well as on McLaren and Sifianos on the animated image. We conclude that there is an aesthetic and even philosophical adequacy in the productions analyzed.

Keywords : Pixilation; Body; Sense of reality; Liquid love.
