This article presents a reading based on the concepts of Emptiness and Silence in some drawings by Brazilian artist Maria Laet. Two series were analyzed: 'Daquilo que não se vê' (2016), consisting of a series of books on paper and 'Atividade Interna' (2017), consisting of ten drawings made with Indian ink on paper. The analysis was structured in Chinese pictorial theory and philosophical thought, in which the above-mentioned concepts occupy a central role.
