Abstract

PORRAS, Antonio Jesús Osorio. Simon Zabell: Found in Translation. Estúdio [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.27, pp.160-171.  Epub Sep 30, 2019. ISSN 1647-6158.

In this article we approach the singular process of ideation and creation of Simon Zabell, focused on the multiple creative possibilities of translation between different artistic languages. Through painting, sculpture or installation, he develops projects with a marked scenographic content, which are usually based on works by non-visual creators, mainly musicians or writers. Throughout the process of interpretation, Zabell discovers new ways and visual codes to represent his own evocations, impressions or mental images of the reconsidered artwork.
