Never before has it been so invisible: images are hegemonic, omnipresent, and therefore invisible. The images are no longer dramatic, they are viral. They are cheap, pervasive, instantaneous. The image, accepted at its micro value, is monetized, transformed into liquidity. The images, more and more visible, are therefore invisible. It seems that the images themselves are concerned not to be too interesting, too deep, not to disturb the economy of the circulation of the rest of them. The images seem to give place to each other in a self-regulated balance. We will be able to follow these contradictions in the present edition of the Estúdio Journal, where the artists are challenged to the visibility, through their articles, gathered here.
