Souke (2018), by Kennia Passos, is a wearable electronics piece made in the context of art research and education. We observe the method used by the artist in order to reflect upon the matter of making in the electronic arts. We describe the trio hypothesis-experiments-prototypes, focusing on experimenting as an artistic gesture and on technical objects as actors in a network. By provoking dialog between artist and technique, Souke exposes its own concepts and mechanisms, turning the black box inside out.
