The present article aims to discuss how a whole series of operative strategies involved in the process of thinking construction and current artistic practice seem to abdicate the empirical models of vision and a whole kind of preconceived image of thought, in the sense of escape the mental conditioning that weighs on the very emergence of perceptive experience. Thus, works inserted in the series “Paisagem-Corpo-Paisagem” (2016) by the portuguese artist Domingos Loureiro, based on the logic of constraint, become unavoidable to think about how the enhancement of an automatic gesture can be directly associated with a kind of “thought without image”, capable of triggering, in the author’s practice, states of creative liberation.
