The aim of this paper is to develop a theory of tourism knowledge from the Criadores Sobre Outras Obras Congress. In the first ten years of the event we searched in their annals the words tourism, tourist, travel and traveler with the expectation of finding opinions that could be used for our proposal of epistemology of tourism through art. Beyond its use as anoun or figure of language, we were interested in reflections from travel as aphase or theoretical foundation of the creative process to critical discussions about the tourist business.
