Abstract

CORUJO, Cecília Andrade. Eduardo Berliner: painting as a process for the (re)construction of an imaginary. Estúdio [online]. 2021, vol.12, n.33, pp.64-76.  Epub Mar 31, 2021. ISSN 1647-6158.

This text reflects on the work of Eduardo Berliner and analyses how his work process leads to a contemporary way of approaching the traditional practice of painting. Through the images and words of Berliner, this study, following the concept of collage and the possibilities inherent to the fragment, shows how the Artist gives life to a strange imaginary, which mixes "socially opposed" states such as: the everyday and the imagined, the unusual and the banal or death and childhood.

Keywords : painting; imaginary; creative process; collage; metamorphose.
