Abstract

COMESANA, Diego del Río. Traveling with Carla Andrade, a critique of the sublime, utopia and landscape: eurocentrism and weak identities. Estúdio [online]. 2021, vol.12, n.33, pp.85-92.  Epub Mar 31, 2021. ISSN 1647-6158.

In this article we will deal with travel as an issue within the context of Carla Andrade’s work. Her last piece, Ningún río me protexe de min, will illustrates this well. The result will be a more general description of her artistic production in relation to this topic. By analysing the sublime, utopia and landscape we will define journey as an obsessive research for an identity endowed with a certain solidity in a world that leads us to confusion and as the space where her Eurocentric critique is built.

Keywords : sublime; utopia; landscape.
