This article focuses on the production of paraense artist Victor de La Rocque, highlighting the Gallus Sapiens project and its developments. In the works of this group that involve performances, objects, installations and documentation in photography and video, the artist creates a metaphor for thinking about the conducts and place that the human being assumes in the present time. In addition to analyzing the various moments that comprise this project, we will focus on a dialogue with the texts of the artist himself and of other researchers to reflect on this corpus gallus and its distensions.
