This article analyses the work processes of the artist Mauro Trastoy in order to offer, through his work, a reflection on the place of materiality in contemporaneity. Starting from a material, knowing it through the hands, following its flow, repeating a minimal gesture, extending it in time. Form and structure linked in unison, warp and weft intertwining in a continuous flow. The permutation of a pattern that repeats itself in a kind of organic generative grammar. Mauro Trastoy presents a complicity with the material that, following Deleuze and Guattari´s machinic filum, leads us towards the thought of matter-flow, of intuition in action, letting things happen.
