This article aims to investigate the sense of poetics to interpret, phenomenologically, Marcello Grassmann's line in a drawing and two engravings. The sense of poetics is linked to the artist's creative process. The transposition of the line from the drawing to the calcogravure was performed using a singular solution. These topics are the guiding principles of the interpretations that follow.
