The Portuguese artist Cristina Troufa has been outlining an exciting career in Contemporary Painting by exercising a significant counterpoint to the prevailing tendencies of art as a concept - immediate. The artist invests in an expressive way of art as an image: figurative, naturalist - mediated. Her creative process is centered on her own image, her anatomical presence in an expressive dimension. The naturalism, nourished by surprising procedural solutions, establishes dialogues with photography and the pictorial tradition. Everything to reaffirm the feminine.
