Resumo

The text addresses the photofilm “Vazios” (2012), composed of two other juxtaposed “Todo o Vazio” (2011) and “Qualquer Vazio” (2011), by the Brazilian artist Alberto Bitar, as a poetic exercise on the dimensions of inhabiting in daily. Between the static picture and the succession of images, the photography and the film, Bitar unbalances the stability of languages and uses transversality as an operational logic. Between contraction and distension, the interior and the exterior, the narrative evokes times lived, which recover and accumulate the past over the present (Bergson, 1999) starting from an artist's image archive, while questioning the relationships between places and memories, fiction and reality.
