Created in 2000 through the supplementary state law No. 870, the Metropolitan Region of Campinas (São Paulo - Brazil) adds today, about 2.5% of national GDP, and is considered the 3rd largest industrial center of the country and the largest center of high-tech in Latin America. This work proposes an analysis of the voluntary transfer of resources of the federal entity state of São Paulo for the Metropolitan Region of Campinas and, from this it to understand how these cities stand out in a new regional reorganization once they start to have, increasingly high density technical installed on their limits.
