Abstract

SOUSA, Francisco. O desenvolvimento de um modelo de ensino virtual num contexto de investimento incipiente em e-learning: progressos e desafios. Invest. Práticas [online]. 2015, vol.5, n.1, pp.79-97. ISSN 2182-1372.

This paper reports the development of a model for virtual learning at the University of the Azores. After being used for teaching Curriculum Theory and Development through e-learning and b-learning, the model was, in the academic year 2014/15, extended to other courses. Besides describing the model and explaining its evolution, the article emphasizes its adoption in the specific context of a course whose online component was taught under especially challenging circumstances. Accordingly, it explains how the experience has been evaluated, discusses the outcomes of the evaluation and suggests guidelines for improvement. Such evaluation has been integrated into a process of curriculum design research - the methodology that has been used to study the development of the model.
