Resumen

SILVA, Alexandra Frias da  y  LEITE, Teresa S.. Adequações curriculares e estratégias de ensino em turmas inclusivas: um estudo exploratório no 1º Ciclo. Invest. Práticas [online]. 2015, vol.5, n.2, pp.44-62. ISSN 2182-1372.

The inclusion of children with special needs in the education system has not been easy for schools nor teachers because it requires changes in school organization, curricular practices and conceptions of teaching and learning. This study focuses on the decisions of curriculum planning and teaching strategies used by teachers in inclusive classrooms of primary schools. The study aims to identify concepts and practices of curriculum differentiation for students with special needs and it focuses on four teachers and their classes with special needs students included. The methodologies of data collection that we used were interview and direct observation. We conclude that teachers explicitly express the need to implement curricular adjustments for the students with special needs. However, in practice, the teachers revealed difficulties in the curriculum management in inclusive classrooms and the practices that they develop do not always facilitate the implementation of the adjustments that they know are needed.
