In February 2019, on a cold day and with white snowy streets, I conducted an interview with Bernard Toulier in Paris. A specialist in bathing culture for over 30 years, with a career at the French Ministry of Culture with the Department of Heritage and Protected Spaces, Toulier is also the author of books on seaside towns and organizer of the exhibition "Tous à la Plage" (Citè, 2016 -2017). In this interview, he talks about aspects of global warming, the challenges for research and how to think about the future of seaside towns.

Keywords : seaside resorts; urbanization; global warming; bathing culture.
