MAIA, João Jerónimo Machadinha. Global capitalism crises in the 21st century: topics for a structural and holistic approach. CIDADES [online]. 2023, n.sp23, pp.19-34.  Epub Apr 10, 2023. ISSN 2182-3030.  https://doi.org/10.15847/cct.27670.

In the 21st century, there has been a succession of crises of global capitalism based on a multidimensionality of factors. This article aims to make a retrospective of these crises, identifying the topics associated with the factors that were in their origin. The development of the text addresses a series of key issues such as the globalization of the neoliberal economy, the eurozone economy, geopolitical conflicts and the ecological crisis as determining elements in this discussion. From here we can draw important contributions to the structuring of the study of the evolution of global capitalism in this century according to a holistic approach.

Keywords : capitalism; 21st century; evolution; crises.
