The article deals with remote teaching in the period of the covid-19 pandemic. It aims to observe how the construction of the student’s new relationship with learning, the teacher with remote teaching and the socio-emotional situation of those involved in the process takes place. The theoretical basis is the studies of discourse Bakhtin (2003), Sociolinguistics, Bagno (1999, 2019), Mendes (2018), Lucchesi (2006); active subject student, Freire (1988, 2001, 2006); necropolitics Mbembe (2016) and necrolanguage Lagares (2021); socio-emotional education Cury (2019) and the teaching of Portuguese, Geraldi (2011), Soares (2020). We examined the material sent to families via the education portal, the Construindo Aprendizagens notebook and the exchanges between teachers and families via whats app. The results show that teachers have reinvented themselves to reach students and, although in a limited way, guarantee the right to education, using technology - through cell phones - as an opportunity to promote empathy, recognizing and respecting different voices, raising emotional issues, teaching students - to play, to learn having fun, having reading as a base.
