The article reports on the experience involving the course and the accomplishments of the Tenda Josué de Castro, a space that aims at building such integrality between technical, scientific and popular knowledge on food and nutrition as well as discussions related to Food and Nutritional Security (Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional - SAN) and Human Right to Adequate and Healthy Food (Direito Humano à Alimentação Adequada e Saudável - DHAA). It is a reverence to one of the pioneers on the debate regarding Hunger and SAN in Brazil and all over the world. It also points out the paths the Tenda has been through in different kinds of spaces, both scientific as participation and social control. At the end presents the results, limits and possibilities obtained by this experience highlighting as main result the quality in this discussion involving food, nutrition, SAN and DHAA afforded by Tenda Josué de Castro through the Wheels of Conversation and Interactive Panels.
