The main objective of this paper consists in building a composite indicator that allows measuring the sustainability of tourist destinations starting from quantitative indicators, representative of sustainable tourism concept. The proposal is made by the combination of Goal Programming (GP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), in such a way as to allow the consideration of stakeholder’s necessities and to identify strengths and weaknesses in terms of sustainability. The study is applied in Cuban nature-based tourism destinations and the result serves as a guideline for future tourist planning.
